What is a Welcome Class?
The “Welcome to
The Dance Gallery Class” is an introductory
class for older beginners or for students
who have had prior dance experience but
are new to The Dance Gallery. This class
will serve as a springboard to move your
child to the technique levels needed to join
existing classes at The Dance Gallery. New
is a kindergarten/first grade Welcome Class!
Designed for beginners to learn basic tap and
ballet steps. Stay in the class or move into a
more advanced class? Many options here that
we will guide you through.. |
|
|
What is a preschool class?
Our
preschool classes consist of
classic subjects of tap, ballet and
tumbling taught at each lesson
plus fanciful themes to encourage
imagination and creative movement. Low student/teacher
ratio. One of the strongest preschool programs in the nation.
What subjects are offered for older children?
All students
are enrolled in tap and ballet classes. Starting in 2nd grade,
students are eligible for jazz which spans the styles of
contemporary, hip hop and Pom. Pointe work is offered to
intermediate and advanced ballet students. |

|
What performance opportunities are offered?
The Dance Gallery performs many times during the dance season. Our amazing Major Production will be held at Civic Center Theater, June 2020 with four performances. Our younger students perform at "It's a Dance Gallery Christmas" in December 2019 (date TBA). |

Did you know that private dance instruction can
be a physical education substitution for school?
In accordance with local district
policy, a school district may award up to two credits for physical
education for appropriate private or commercially-sponsored
physical activity programs conducted on or off campus. The district
must apply to the commissioner of education for approval of such
programs, which may be substituted for state graduation credit
in physical education. Check with your school district for further
discussion. |
|
|
Who will teach my child?
Under the direction of owner
Karla McNeill, faculty members are degreed in dance,
education and counseling. Most have
been on faculty for over a decade and are
supported by assistant teachers to provide
our low student/teacher ratio. The faculty is
encouraging, loving and experienced dancers
and teachers. |

What is the advantage of The Dance Gallery?
Whether looking for a recreational dance
experience or for more serious training, The
Dance Gallery has much to offer. Our motto
"where we have fun, taking dance seriously"
allows students of all levels to be welcomed,
nurtured and find great joy in making their dance
dreams come true. Fantasy and playfulness for
our younger students. Training and discipline for
everyone who yearns to Dance! |
